  • NIE (Foreigner’s Identification Number): mandatory for purchase and tax payment.
  • Valid passport: to prove your identity.
  • Spanish bank account: necessary to manage payments, taxes and receipts.
  • Proof of funds: document that proves that you have the necessary money for the entrance of the house (and where it comes from).
  • Mortgage pre-approval: preliminary confirmation from the bank indicating how much money it would be willing to lend you, based on your financial profile.
  • Fiscal representative: mandatory if you reside outside the European Union.
  • Power of attorney (optional): allows a lawyer or trusted person to sign on your behalf in case you are unable to travel.
